The Romans Road On the Road to Heaven
79
The road to Heaven is paved with good intentions.
Searching our lives we desire to reach paradise one day. Living in the moments of this life, we seek for meaning. We ponder what will happen when we finally reach our destination?
Wondering, "when I reach Heaven, will I be satisfied?"
The road to Heaven can be travelled alone or with others. Find the map. Seek the right path, and plan your trip wisely.
Heaven is the place, the final destination and the Romans Road will get you there.
The Romans Road
- Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
- Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
- Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Romans 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Bible passages referenced (NIV)
In the prayer of salvation, with your heart you believe and with your mouth you confess.
This is the path which leads you to Heaven. No amount of good works will get you there. There is no staircase to Heaven, for there is only one way, and He is the Truth and the Life.
We question whether we are good enough or we believe we are just good enough.
We reason with ourselves, "I haven't done anything too bad. My life's pretty good. I'm a good person, kind and generous. I even go to church -- for God will surely let me in."
The misconception in thinking that way is the Bible tells us the only way to God is through the Son. Jesus came so we may have life, a life eternal. The great thing is that salvation is free, the debt has been paid. There are no creditors knocking at your door, no bills to be paid, for the debt is cleared. Paid in full by the blood of Jesus Christ. All you have to do is accept this free gift.
Heaven
- Heaven is a Place
What do you imagine Heaven will be like? I asked my young grandson this question. Oh Grandma, Heaven is where God lives. All the angels are there. Its a special place with a lot of flowers and... - What Heaven Is Like
Many things are asked about heaven. The answers to these questions are found in the Bible. There is no other infallible source of revelation about heaven or anything else. There are many things about heaven... - Staying Positive in Darkened World by Never Giving U...
Living each day the best way I knew how, I suddenly faced a crossroads. Raising the question, How do you maintain a positive attitude and not give up on writing at HubPages? The answers have inspired me....
Destination: Heaven
Perhaps one should take a risk. Take a chance on this free gift. There is nothing to lose but so much to gain.
Death is inevitable. No one can escape it.
What happens after that moment when a person leaves this world and enters the next? There are many books on afterlife. Stories of people who have claimed to seen a glimpse of Heaven and then wrote about it. Their stories are amazing and whether a person believes them or not, is not really the case. They are great stories, some very convincing.
"Should you not, besides reading the Bible, store your memories richly with the promises of God? You can recollect the sayings of great men; you treasure up the verses of renowned poets; ought you not to be profound in your knowledge of the words of God, so that you may be able to quote them readily when you would solve a difficulty, or overthrow a doubt?" – Charles Spurgeon
People are curious. They want to know ahead of time. If they have a guarantee then maybe they'll take that step. The unknowing creates speculations. The Bible has the truths.
On the road to Heaven? Ask yourself if you want to book that trip:
The travel may be hazardous, the risks may be high, but it's a road less travelled. Your final destination is the vacation of your dreams, the vacation of a lifetime. Heaven is closer than you think.
"We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies."
— Emily Dickinson

Well, death has been heavily on my mind for the seventeen months since my husband died! I know he's in a good place. He was not a religious man, but a spiritual man who made his peace with God in front of his son's sitting around the campfire! It was a touching moment! He knew his time would end soon from the cancer in his body. Yes, a lot has been written and I think I'm one of those who is soaking it up! My understanding is so much deeper than it used to be and I have no fear anymore. Sometimes I wish I was out of here already, but that would be selfish on my part! Bless you, as always and thank you for sharing!
An inspirational and thought provoking hub. I have heard of the Romans road but did not know what it was. Thank you for sharing it.
You have opened many eyes and I believe people will be saved by reading this Hub. One day in Heaven someone will walk up to you and say thanks!
Wow.It's true way go to heaven!!! I wanted to know where is the way to find.
Nice Hub, He is risen, Celebrate, come on celebrate, the resurrection of our Lord!
This is a subject that does weigh on my mind allot here, since the small town community I live in is mostly elderly retired folks. Most facing loss and even the facts of there own mortality now. Many of there younger family members such as myself have had to move here to help out these elderly folks. Making the community become a much more balanced one of young and old, we still are around our dying loved ones everyday here today in one way or another. I'm bookmarking this hub, and may just print it out to share with a dear sick loved one of my own. Thank you very much.
