Heaven is a Real Place: More than in our Hearts

What do you imagine Heaven will be like? I asked my young grandson this question.

“Oh Grandma, Heaven is where God lives. All the angels are there. It’s a special place with a lot of flowers and rainbows.”

I smiled at the innocence of his answer, reminded that we make things too complicated. Jesus spoke about the little children, “let them come to me,” he said.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”- Matthew 19:14

If our hearts could be like that, what peace we should find.

The world has a way of turning everything upside down. It steals your joy and leaves you naked in the cold. Unbearable circumstances lead you down hopeless paths and desperate journeys trying to escape it. We are fading into the empty promises this world brings.

Jesus said come to me all who need rest, for my yoke is easy.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30

Living in the presence of eternity aligns your perspective. Everything happens for a reason. All situations in life prepare you for something better.

Heaven may be a place where dreams do come true but it’s more than that. Heaven is real. A divine place where Holiness dwells, where our living God resides, Heaven exists.

Imagine yourself in Heaven. What would you see?

• The presence of loved ones and your ancestry greeting you.
• Fragrances of flowers, fruits, and trees would envelope your soul.
• Colors of rainbows intertwined to create luminescent vibrant hues.
• Crystal clear water sparkling with a fresh sunlight dancing across the rivers.
• Trees that produce wonderfully tasty, delicious fruits savoring for the mouth.
• A light so bright that the sun pales in comparison, a light magnifying the glory of God
• Music so beautiful your heart sings with praise, worshipping God in all His splendor

Heaven is a place where goodness triumphs over evil. It is a safe place guarded against the fallen. A glimpse of Heaven would shatter your thoughts in a humanly senses.

• With beauty so magnifying that your delight is overwhelming.
• With happiness so electrifying that your joy is enchanting.
• A real paradise filled with beauty, love, and the Creator himself, God.

What else could you ask for?

We are His children. We were created for Him. Everything belongs to Him. We are heirs to His great kingdom. The door is waiting. Knock and it will be opened.

Seeking truth and meaning in life raises your mind to new heights. Finding purpose in life moves you to decision making choices. It’s all in the choosing, are you going to choose right over wrong?

The stairway to Heaven is too great to climb by good works alone.

We must let go of that desire to reach it through our good works. The stairway to Heaven is through the blood of Jesus.

His death and resurrection shows us we have an eternity promised to us, if we believe.

Trust in His word. Jesus will guide you up those stairs, leading you to the promise of Heaven. He is the way, the truth, and the life. For everything He has, He is giving to you.

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” - John 14:5-7

His promise remains, Heaven is a real place.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” - John 14:1-4

God is good all the time. When we worship Him and keep our eyes on Him, the things in this life don't seem to matter much.

Heaven, a paradise fit for a King.
